During the first edition of Partje Barel, (festival for music and art) June 15 & 16 2012:
Interactive video clip performance
The rise of Youtube has given new weight to the lo-fi video aesthetic, and the interactive performance event (flash mobs etc). In stark contrast to slick large scale productions the lo-fi video offers a DIY entrance for the viewer, offering a chance to participate in the creative process. In this new performance work Zoe Reddy will be combining these elements, performing self composed music live and inviting (requiring!) the audience to create the video clip also filmed live. This performance will be done four times with the final footage being edited into a completed clip and presented online after the festival. Props and lyrics will be supplied and all participants will be credited as co-video artists.
