UPSTAIRS LIBRARY DOWNSTAIRS LIBRARY

Created during EEA residency in Beelitz, Germany (2009)

Two spaces physically seperated but linked as one instillation project, created using the abandoned books of a recently closed local library.

The downstairs library acted as a public space and sight for the creation and display of collobrative collages and the handmade artist book ‘Recorded’ (see: works 2D)

The upstairs library was a private place of contemplation only open for several hours during the final group exhibition and presented a temple of sculptures made from the abandoned books.
